Amber withdrew from the lending market in April 2008 after a decision was made to focus all attention on managing the existing loan portfolio until such time as the UK Mortgage market returns to more normal conditions.

Potential Interest Rate Changes

As a responsible lender Amber are preparing our customers for any potential future interest rate rises

As an example based on an average interest only mortgage with a balance of £135,000, and a general interest rate of 4.2%, if rates increase by 1% then the monthly payments will go up by approximately £135.00. Rates may however, increase by much more than this over time.

Payment Protection Insurance for Mortgages - (M) PPI

MPPI is designed to protect you against loss of income by helping you meet your mortgage payments should you become unable to work because of an accident, illness or unemployment. If you have held a MPPI policy but believe it was mis-sold you should direct your enquiry to the intermediary or mortgage broker who advised or arranged the policy with your mortgage. Amber Homeloans Ltd did not provide any advice on the sale of (M)PPI policies.
